Our Organizational Changes Appear to be Stalled

Our Organizational Changes Appear to be Stalled

Some employees are on board with the change, some are adrift, and others are resisting. What should we do?

Solution Path

Things Change, People Transition.

Typical change initiatives may involve changing; accounting systems, project management procedures, CRM systems, performance review process, compensation system, bonus/commission plans, new reporting structure or involve reorganizations/mergers.

It is not unusual to find diverse perspectives during organizational change initiatives. Understanding why the diversity exists and how to manage the organization through personal transitions will be the best path forward.

Leadership needs to understand the three phases of the transition process, evaluate where their people are in the process and take appropriate action to help them through the transition.

I created a brief article titled "Why Organizational Change Initiatives Struggle - Part 2" in the Reference Page of this website focused on helping people transition through organizational change.

I have found the book “Managing Transitions,” By William Bridges to be a great resource to help organizations through this process.
